Visiting Nice and the French Riviera was a dream come true for me. From the moment I arrived, the breathtaking views and vibrant culture captured my heart.
Strolling down the Promenade des Anglais was surreal. The sound of the waves and the gentle sea breeze made it an unforgettable experience. I also loved getting lost in the charming streets of Old Town (Vieux Nice), where I discovered delightful cafes and local art shops.
One of my favorite spots was Castle Hill (Colline du Château). The climb was worth it for the stunning panoramic views of the city and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea.
The entire Riviera felt like a slice of paradise. I spent a day in Cannes, where I indulged in some retail therapy and relaxed on the sandy beaches. The glitz and glamour of Monaco were fascinating, especially the iconic casino and luxurious yachts.
And how could I forget Saint-Tropez? The beaches were beautiful, and the vibrant nightlife added a touch of excitement to my trip.
Every corner of Nice and the French Riviera offered something unique, making my journey truly personal and memorable. I can't wait to return and explore even more.
My Favorite Corner of the World
There’s something about the French Riviera that completely captures my heart every time I visit. The light here feels softer, the air smells like sea salt and fresh lavender, and every view — from the pastel rooftops of Nice to the turquoise curve of Villefranche-sur-Mer — looks like it was painted just for you.
When I think of the Riviera, I think of lazy afternoons on the Promenade des Anglais, café au lait in hand, watching the world go by. I think of exploring the Old Town of Nice (Vieux Nice) — where colorful shutters, narrow streets, and flower markets fill every corner with life. And I think of hopping on a train along the coast, window down, heading toward Monaco, Èze, or Cannes, where each stop feels like a new chapter in the world’s most beautiful story.
✨ Why I Love It
What I love most about this region is how it blends every kind of travel dream — luxury and simplicity, glamour and authenticity, sea and mountains. You can spend your morning at a seaside café in Nice, your afternoon wandering a medieval hilltop village, and your evening watching the sunset over the water with a glass of Provençal rosé in hand.
My personal favorites?
Nice: The perfect base. Stroll the Promenade, explore Castle Hill, and eat at local favorites where the menus are written on chalkboards.
Villefranche-sur-Mer: A hidden gem that feels like a secret. Bright boats, quiet beaches, and the prettiest harbor you’ve ever seen.
Èze: Magical. A hilltop village with cobblestone paths, perfume shops, and views that take your breath away.
Monaco: All sparkle and sophistication — but still within easy reach of Nice for a fun day trip.
🌅 When to Go
I love visiting in September, when the weather is warm but the crowds are lighter. The colors are softer, the sea still sparkles, and you can enjoy every moment without rushing.
